Midpoint Reflection

Well my internship is very different like mine experiences because I never take a 30 kids in a school I just take most at the time 6 kids in my house all the weekends and that kids I know how to control them but in the kindergarten I can’t control them very well, so even when they are in trouble. So sometimes these make my self-crazy because to many kids are around me, definitely I work so hard to keep my internship good like always however the different the culture in my internship and International High School is so differently because in mine internship almost all the kids are Russian people but all of them speak English therefore in my school is different because in my school all the students speak a different language however the students speak English too because English is the second language and it is very important to talk to other people in English, So during mine internship I still learned new skills one of them are how to care the kids another one is how to become more comfortable to talk to them even though, some of the kids are so revelers and I need to control them also I know that the younger kids doesn’t to follow the instructions this skills can help me in the future because I want to be a teacher so this skills can help me. I have a good relationship whit my mentor and the co-workers too however just one of them don’t talk to her. The interacting with professional adults still the same because in my school all of the teacher doing the same job but is so differently because in the place where I work the teacher teach a kids of kindergarten and the teachers of my school teach at teenagers mean young people. My English has improved a lot because I've learned new things and words that did not know even thought now my English is improving every day that passes. Well I don’t like my schedule because I don’t have a enough time to do all my homework and sometimes I fall asleep very late and I can’t have to much time to keep my brain well…my goals for the six next week’s are finish all my hours for mine internship and pass all my classes because I don’t want to repeat the 11th grade again also I want to keep improving my English.

Four weeks into internship

I'm working at The Brooklyn Inquiry School on the fourth floor in the kindergarden class. I help all the students in their classes. The three tasks that I do regularly at my internship are 1) help the kids when they are at lunch. I help them to open their food and their milk containers. 2) Then after lunch we go to the playground for the kids to play. Sometimes we play with the color balls. 3) Some students always need to go to the nurse because some of them fall down or have an accident on the playground. I take them to the nurse.

Donna my mentor is a very nice and kind person. She is always friendly even when she has problems. However, my memorable moments of my first three weeks are when, the teacher and his mom celebrated his birthday party in the classroom, also when I was sticking 65 pieces of paper to make a "sweet tree" and other 30 pieces of paper to make a "black tree." That was so much fun for me because I was the only person in the hallway sticking pieces of paper on the floor. One thing that I really enjoy is helping the kids and the teachers. One thing that most challenging part of my internship is learning to have patience with the kids.

My First Two Weeks

My Mentor is very nice. He is such a smart person that I always like to talk with him because I like what he is saying to me is so interesting and also it's so inportant to me. I have a nice relationship with him, when I need something he always is there. Well maybe next week we will be working in the SAT book because it's something difficult to me and some questions I don't understand. I hope that when we meet again I would be excited again like always. I don't know why but I always I'm excited talking to him about new kind of things that are working. When it was my first day in my Internship I was very happy with that but after a couple of days my inspiration of work with the kids dropped. I don't know why that happened and I thought that I wanted to work at another place so different than mine but right now I like more and more my internship and I still enjoy working with the kids.
